Great news! I now have two buyers lined up to buy my Audi from me so I can buy a 944.
Question though: how do you deal with having two buyers who want to look at the car on the same day? The first guy that contacted me was really enthusiastic on top of being first, so he gets the first look. The second guy though, what do I tell him if the car sells, or what do I tell the first guy if I end up wanting to see what the second guy would offer. And then how would I recontact the first guy to tell him I'd take his offer?

Rock
Paper

Also, a 944 isn't the end of the Audi saga :p

Let them both look at the car, let them both make you offers and then sell it to whoever pays more.
If the first guy gives you asking price, I say sell it to him. If he tries to haggle just politely let him now that there is another interested party and you will be holding off on selling the car till they make an offer, tell him you will call him to let him know if the car doesn't sell.

That makes sense. The only part I dislike is that it puts me in a bad place for further negotiations if he knows the other deal fell through. But that's alright. From the way the first guy was talking to me earlier, I don't expect him to lowball too much if he's interested. I'll probably sell it to one of the two.

First guy to produce a stack of cash gets the car.

You don't have to let him know the other offer was lower, just say that the other party offered asking price and that since he also offered asking price you would like to give him the opportunity to buy it.

A 944? Duuude. That'd be sweet.
What variant are you thinking of? 2.5l, 3.0l, turbo?
